Alexander and Maria were both born in Russia; Sasha in Keriff, Maria in Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Siberia. They are a husband and wife team who met while performing stunts in the Moscow Circus. Sasha and Maria have a daughter Sasha, a national caliber level 10 gymnast. In Zenith Academy of Gymnastics, The Kourbatovs have fulfilled a lifelong dream of running their own gym.
